This ballpoint pen is made from wood from Gifu Prefecture, where woodworking culture is the most developed in Japan.

Japanese cedar is the most commonly planted tree not only in the Hida region, but also throughout Japan, and has been a staple wood in Japanese woodcrafting culture since ancient times. It is a natural element in Japanese-style interiors, including flooring, fittings, and furniture.

Its hardness and elasticity are the softest of the Kozo HIDA lineup, and the changes that naturally occur with a soft wood, such as small scratches, are welcomed in Japan and enjoyed as part of its changing aesthetic.
