Gifu Wood Ballpoint Pen Hinoki(Japanese cypress)

Model noTWD1700

This ballpoint pen is made from wood from Gifu Prefecture, where woodworking culture is the most developed in Japan.

Used in the construction of shrines, temples, bath houses, furniture, handicrafts, and more, the fragrance of hinoki instantly evokes memories of Japan. Hida hinoki is highly prized in Japan, as it is used in some of the country’s most famous cultural properties, such as Ise Jingu Shrine and Horyuji Temple.

Hinoki is highly resistant to moisture, and has a mid-range hardness and elasticity, which is the most balanced in the Kozo HIDA linup.

Because of its good resistance to moisture and water and its high preservation properties, it is used as a high-grade building material for temples and shrines, as well as being widely used for fittings and furniture materials.
